The properties of expanded polystyrene and expanded polypropylene
It is 100% hygienic, does not undergo mould production, is waterproof and extremely light. Because of these characteristics, it is among the most widely used polymers in industry, construction and trade.
It is therefore important to make this material increasingly eco-compatible and efficient and Bergamo Espansi, with continuous research supported by significant economic investment, has committed itself to pursuing this objective in its corporate strategy.
And since investment in Research and Development must be supported by constant technological innovation, in recent years Bergamo Espansi has innovated its plants with the adoption of a new Boiler, a new Water Treatment System and the Cooling Tower; we have also replaced over 60% of our presses with new state-of-the-art machinery. Those adopted by Bergamo Espansi are revolutionary solutions, capable of improving product industrialisation while paying particular attention to energy consumption and environmental impact.
